OZU werd door Rob List opgericht in 2002 als een steeds wisselend performance-ensemble van jonge dansers, mimespelers, filmers en kunstenaars. Zij werken aan bewegingsstukken waarin het accent ligt op individuele solos in plaats van ensemblebewegingen. In de laatste vijf jaar heeft hij gewerkt met o.a. Constance Neuenschwander, Dominique Pollet, David Weber-Krebs, Veronika Petrova, David Haneke, Boris Gerrets, Pauline de Groot, Manon Ossevoort, Nanci Nievaard, Tjebbe Roelofs, Seon-ja Seo, Boukje Schweigman en Jacob Flier. OZU heeft gespeelt in grote theaters en kleine galerieën in Oost en West Europa. Sinds 2001 is Jaap Lindijer aan OZU verbonden als componist.

Constance Neuenschwander
Constance Neuenschwander [1973] (CH) graduated in 1999 from P.A.R.T.S., the Brussels international dance school of Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, after completing earlier studies at the Zurich Tanz Theater Schule in 1996. She has since danced in the international companies of Charlotte vanden Eynde, Felix Ruckert and Eric Raeves. She has worked with Rob List as dramaturgical advisor and performer since 2000, most recently in Feuillée in 2003 and Bosschage in 2004. In 2005 she performed a solo dance for the OZU production of Nescio.

Tjebbe Roelofs
Tjebbe Roelofs (NL) graduated from the mime opleiding of the Amsterdam Theaterschool in 2006 with his solo ‘Ko zijn’. In addition to working with Rob List since 2005, he has also toured internationally with the award-winning play 'Toe Vader Drink' written and directed by Jetse Batelaan, although performed in ‘Broeders’ from same director, ‘Goede bedoelingen’ by Bram de Groei, 'Heros' by mimegroup Space in Brussels, and 'Driftland' by Ipso Facto at the 2003 Oerol Festival. In 2007 he will appear in both parts of 'Ne Scio' by Rob List.

David Haneke
David Haneke (1965) (A) graduated from the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Amsterdam in 1992. In addition to acting in many Dutch theater productions - including several years as performer with innovative site-specific mime group BEWTH - he has directed and produced a number of independent films and video installations in the Netherlands and Austria, as well as creating prerecorded and realtime video projections for theater, opera and dance groups. His short film 'Humming Wires' won a special award at the Avanca Film Festival in Portugal in 1998. He filmed and edited three video monologues for the OZU production 'Bosschage' in 2004, and is creating realtime video projections with Rob List for the solo 'Engrave [Y/N] to premiere in December 2006.

Jaap Lindijer
Jaap Lindijer (NL) has had a long career making soundscores for Dutch theater and dance productions. He has also worked with Brazilian choreographer Marcelo Evelin, whose latest work Sertao toured in South America in 2004. He has recorded and editied sound scores for Rob List and OZU since 2003.
